"W" is for Writing Link
A Writing Link is a General Education program that simultaneously enrolls students in a first-year composition course (Eng 102) and another course that satisfies a Gen Ed Core requirement (world literature or philosophy).
What Are the Benefits of Writing Links?
-
The instructors in each "link" work together to share readings and assignments, which makes both courses more relevant and interesting.
-
Shared readings and assignments also help reinforce learning in both classes, which could lead to higher grades.
-
Students see the same faces in both classes, which might lead to more friendships and study partners.
|
“I would really enjoy taking a course like this again. It is nice when the teachers communicate and you are with the same people in two classes.”
