UNLV's WAC Steering Committee was formed in spring 2006 to further study the need and feasibility of implementing a WAC program at UNLV.

After several meetings, study of national models, researching the status of undergraduate writing at UNLV, and an all-day planning retreat, the Committee submits its recommendation report to the campus community for consideration:

Mission and Objectives adopted!

On 11/17/06, the The Writing Across the Curriculum Committee approved specific language for a mission statement and set of objectives for the WAC program.
