- WAC is primarily a faculty-centered/faculty development initiative. It's aim is to help faculty develop, teach, and respond to writing assignments. As we discussed of the preliminary survey results at the last meeting, 90% of teachers reported assigning writing. So, it is not a matter of simply assigning more writing. WAC is about assigning writing more effectively. See "Evaluating WAC Programs" by Toby Fulwiler.)
